About Us

We are a small group of private Maternity Nurses specialising in the prevention of colic and the treatment and care of babies with colic.
With our professional experience, knowledge and understanding of newborn babies we are very successful in our work and offer a wide range of services to suit all your needs.
Our staff works closely with highly respected complementary and traditional medical experts. We find complementary therapies including baby massage, aromatherapy, homeopathy, nutrition and the use of herbs very helpful and effective within our work. Our specialist training includes the use of complementary therapies in baby care.

Colic Care Services Staff

All our Specialist Maternity Nurses are qualified, experienced and dedicated. We carefully select each member of staff for their naturally calm and caring personalities, exceptional references and their commitment to the prevention of colic and the treatment and care of babies suffering through colic.
We vet and specialist train each Maternity Nurse prior to their completing their practical placements where they will work with one of our experienced CCS Specialist Maternity Nurses. Following the success of their first placement they receive their CCS Certificate and Specialist Maternity Nurse status.
CCS Colic Consultants are required to have a minimum of 2 years experience as Specialist Maternity Nurses.

Specialist Maternity Nurse, Colic Consultant

Qualifications & Experience
  • Mother of 4
  • NNEB, RSH, Norland Diploma
  • 10 years Maternity Nursing experience
  • 10 years Specialist Maternity Nursing / Colic Consultancy experience

I have always adored babies and even as a child I wanted to help and comfort crying babies. Following many years of Maternity Nursing my interest in the prevention of colic and treatment and care of babies with colic grew along side my knowledge and understanding of the value of complementary therapies within baby care. Perhaps because I myself was a colicky baby I have always felt a great empathy for them and through my work discovered that there is nearly always a reason for colic which with experience can be treated. The causes of colic once medical conditions have been ruled out are often digestion or care based, simple little changes in a baby’s care or feeding patterns can make a huge difference to their happiness. I feel great fulfilment from being able to successfully prevent and treat colic and I truly believe that no little baby needs to suffer through colic.
